Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is a multifaceted and specialized position that provides overall front end service to the public and communicates directly with hearing aid manufacturers, and third party insurers on administrative, invoice and billing matters. It is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the clinic’s day-to-day administrative and clerical management operations.

And, the Customer Service Representative provides support to the clinical operation of the Hearing Centre. Front end services include answering phones, following up with patients in a timely manner, and scheduling patient appointments and provides direct service to patients.

Other Job Duties

  • Completes paperwork for submission to various agencies for payment, ordering hearing aids, and/or related hearing aid supplies.
  • Performs and maintains file management and corresponding administrative documentation.
  • Initiates follow-up and recall of patients.
  • Troubleshoots on administrative, clerical issues.
  • Addresses minor hearing aid problems, such as dead batteries, plugged wax guards, replacing external tubes etc., and provides in-house cleaning of hearing aids.
  • Effectively utilizes clinical management database and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Contribute to a professional and positive work environment by being a team player, and utilizing a solution-orientated approach to problem-solving.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance.

SKILLS REQUIRED

– Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate with the elderly, and the hearing impaired
– Strong data entry skills

– Experienced in the use of office-related software and databases – such as BluePrint Clinical Management system, and/or Microsoft Office – in particular Word and Excel.

– Well organized, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, manage and set prioritize competing demands

– Able to work independently, yet within a team context.

Salary

$22.00 – $23.00/Hourly.
